Special Council Meeting

THAT the draft agenda presented to Council for the Special Meeting and dated the 18th day of March, 2021 be hereby adopted as circulated.

WHEREAS Council for the Municipality of East Ferris deems it expedient to pass three readings of the following by-law at this session; BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT a By-law to enter into an agreement with Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) for financing of the East Ferris Community Centre Roof Trusses Repair Project, BE READ a first, second and third time, passed and numbered 2021-13; AND THAT said by-law be signed by the Mayor and Clerk and sealed with the Seal of the Corporation.

THAT Council for the Municipality of East Ferris accepts the recommendation from the CAO contained in Report No. CAO-2021-01 as follows: That Council for the Municipality of East Ferris accepts the tender from and awards the contract to Kenalex Construction Company Limited in the amount of $787,200.00 (exclusive of HST). That Council for the Municipality of East Ferris enters into the agreement with the Royal Bank of Canada for construction financing and a fixed term loan at completion of the project.

THAT this meeting proceeds to In-Camera session at 9:12 a.m., under Section 239(2) of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c.25 in order to address a matter pertaining to: (f) advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose; and (h) information explicitly supplied in confidence to the municipality or local board by Canada, a province or territory or a Crown agency of any of them.

THAT we do now adjourn this In-Camera meeting at 10:28 a.m. and return to our regular session of Council.
