Council Meeting

THAT the draft agenda presented to Council and dated the 25th day of June, 2019 be hereby adopted as circulated.

THAT the minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held June 11th, 2019 be adopted as circulated.

WHEREAS the Recreation, Parks and Culture Committee at their meeting held June 18 th , 2019 recommended to Council to approve the Revised Municipal Alcohol Policy; BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that Council approve of this recommendation and that the Manager of Recreation and Facilities, be advised accordingly.

WHEREAS Council for the Municipality of East Ferris deems it expedient to pass three readings of the following By-law at this session; BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT a By-law to close and convey a Part of the Original Shore Road Allowance, described as Part of the Original Shore Road Allowance in front of Broken Lot 12, Concession 15, Part 1 and 2, RP 36R-11647 Township of East Ferris, District of Nipissing, BE READ a first, second and third time, passed and numbered 2019-30; And THAT said By-law be signed by the Mayor and Clerk and sealed with the Seal of the Corporation.

THAT Council acknowledge the correspondence as circulated with the agenda and dated the 25th of June, 2019.

WHEREAS section 5.3 of the Council Procedural By-law No. 2019-03 states that there shall only be one meeting of Council held in the month of July and August; BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that Council of the Municipality of East Ferris cancel the regular scheduled meetings of July 23rd and August 27 th , 2019; AND THAT a Special Meeting of Council be scheduled in accordance with Section 240 of the Municipal Act, as amended at the call of the Chair if required.

WHEREAS Council acknowledges correspondence received from Ms. Karen Cobb at their regular meeting held on May 14 th , 2019 urging Council to discontinue the use of plastic water bottles at all Council and Committee meetings; AND WHEREAS Council at that meeting

THAT Council approve the general accounts for the Municipality of East Ferris as indicated in the cheque register(s) dated June 25th, 2019 in the amount of $887,433.18.

WHEREAS Council for the Municipality of East Ferris deems it expedient to pass three readings of the following By-law at this session; BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT a By-law to confirm the proceedings of Council from June 11th, 2019 to June 25th, 2019, BE READ a first, second and third time, passed and numbered 2019-31; AND THAT said By-law be signed by the Mayor and Clerk and sealed with the Seal of the Corporation.
