THAT Council of the Municipality of East Ferris accepts the 2019-2022 Strategic Plan: 2020 Progress Report as presented; AND FURTHER that staff be authorized to release the Progress Report to the public.

WHEREAS Council for the Municipality of East Ferris discussed rebranding and developing a new logo for several years; AND WHEREAS the Municipality of East Ferris will be celebrating its Centennial Anniversary in 2021 and Council felt that now would be the best time to rebrand and develop a new logo; AND WHEREAS Council and staff launched a logo contest with students from the Graphic Design Program at Canadore College; AND WHEREAS Council authorized staff to work with VS Group to produce proofs for a new logo based on the winning logo from the contest; BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that Council approve logo option #3 and that staff work with VS Group on modernizing the brand and ensuring it is useable for a number of applications including designs for stationary elements, powerpoint templates, report covers, and clothing mock-ups.
