Council Meeting

THAT the draft agenda presented to Council and dated the 10th day of November, 2020 be adopted as circulated.

THAT the minutes of the Special Meeting of Council and the Minutes of the Regular Meeting of Council held October 27th, 2020 be adopted as circulated.

THAT By-law No. 2020-42 being a By-law to amend By-law No. 2013-15, a By-law for establishing and maintaining a system for the collection and removal and appropriate disposal of solid wastes within the Municipality be read a first and second time this 10th day of November, 2020.

THAT By-law No. 2020-42 being a By-law to amend By-law No. 2013-15, a By-law for establishing and maintaining a system for the collection and removal and appropriate disposal of solid wastes within the Municipality be read a third time and passed this 10th day of November, 2020; AND THAT said By-Law be signed by the Mayor and Clerk, and sealed with the Seal of the Corporation.

THAT By-law No. 2020-43 being a By-law for the establishment of Community Safety Zones be read a first and second time this 10th day of November, 2020.

THAT By-law No. 2020-43 being a By-law for the establishment of Community Safety Zones be read a third time and passed this 10th day of November, 2020; AND THAT said By-Law be signed by the Mayor and Clerk, and sealed with the Seal of the Corporation.

WHEREAS Council for the Municipality of East Ferris deems it expedient to pass three readings of the following by-law at this session; BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT a By-law to authorize the execution of a subdivision agreement in accordance with the approval of SB-2018-03 (Nosbonsing Park Limited), BE READ a first, second and third time, passed and numbered 2020-44; AND THAT said by-law be signed by the Mayor and Clerk and sealed with the Seal of the Corporation.

THAT Council acknowledge the correspondence and information as circulated with the agenda and dated the 10th day of November 2020.

THAT Council for the Municipality of East Ferris supports the letter from the Township of Lake of Bays dated October 9th, 2020 addressed to Premier Doug Ford regarding Reform to the Municipal Insurance Policy.

THAT Council appoint Councillor Kelly to be the Municipal Representative on the Collective Agreement negotiations.

THAT Council approve the general accounts for the Municipality of East Ferris as indicated in the cheque register(s) dated November 10th, 2020 in the amount of $233,153.36.

THAT this meeting proceeds to In-Camera session at 7:14 p.m. under Section 239(2) of the Municipal Act, 2001, S.O. 2001, c.25 in order to address a matter pertaining to: Personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees.

THAT we do now adjourn this In-Camera meeting at 7:36 p.m. and return to our regular session of Council.

WHEREAS Council for the Municipality of East Ferris deems it expedient to pass three readings of the following by-law at this session; BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT a By-law to confirm the proceedings of Council from October 27th, 2020 to November 10th, 2020, BE READ a first, second and third time, passed and numbered 2020-45; AND THAT said by-law be signed by the Mayor and Clerk and sealed with the Seal of the Corporation.

THAT we do now adjourn at 7:37 p.m. and meet again on November 24th, 2020.
