Council Meeting

THAT the draft agenda presented to Council and dated the 14th day of April, 2020 be adapted as circulated.

THAT the Minutes of the Special and Regular Council meetings of March 10th, 2020 and the Minutes of the Special Council Meeting held March 23rd, 2020 be approved as circulated.

THAT Council acknowledge the correspondence and information as circulated with the agenda and dated the 14th day of April, 2020.

THAT Council of the Municipality of East Ferris supports the letter received from Miltown Management Systems/Service Ontario Office-713, Powassan, Ontario and advocate our local MPP to ensure that Service Ontario Offices remain viable and able to continue to operate in communities.

WHEREAS the Callander Food Bank serves the residents of the Municipality of East Ferris; BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that Council for the Municipality of East Ferris make a monetary donation the the Callander Food Bank in the amount of $2500.00.

THAT Council approve the general accounts for the Municipality of East Ferris as indicated in the cheque register(s) dated April 14th, 2020 in the amount of $911,547.21.

WHEREAS Council for the Municipality of East Ferris deems it expedient to pass three readings of the following by-law at this session; BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT a By-law to confirm the proceedings of Council from March 10th, 2020 to April 14th, 2020, BE READ a first, second and third time, passed and numbered 2020-14; AND THAT said by-law be signed by the Mayor and Clerk and sealed with the Seal of the Corporation.

THAT we do now adjourn at 7:10 p.m. and meet again on April 28th, 2020.
